We are going to be in Vermont for a bit now. We got here about a week ago.
Vermont is kind of like a third world country -- which I've been digging. What I mean is the state has 14,000 miles of roads, but of those roads, 8000 are unpaved! Only 6000 miles of roads are paved, which seems crazy to me. Because it is summer, the overwhelming green lushness along with the high humidity reinforce that feeling I'm getting about being outside the U.S.
This photo is of the state capitol: Montpelier. They say it mount-pee-lee-er. Good to know so you don't sound like a goof.
