The Hike to the Highest Peak in the U.S. east of the Rockies and west of the Pyrenees Mountains of E

Holy Crap!

This was the hardest hike I have done in years. Yes, it was worth it, but boy by the end of it I wasn't sure I'd truly make it back to the car.

The photos below show the view of the peak from where we started, and then also when we got to the tower at the peak.

I zoomed in on one image of the peak, because it was so far in the distance it is hard to tell in the photo what you are looking at.

If you go to the area, you must take on this hike. It was beautiful and very gratifying. And for those of you who don't know me, I'm not in particularly good shape and if I can do it, I know you can too!
