Glacier National Park -- Visit its valleys

Naturally, we visited Glacier National Park every chance we got! It's an amazing place... and its glaciers are disappearing with the climate change. In fact, every glacier in the park is shrinking. The park had over 100 glaciers when it was established in 1910. By 1996, 35 glaciers remained. In 2015, only 26 met the size criteria to be designated "active glaciers."

During a shuttle ride through the park (highly recommended to not have to drive during the high-trafficked season), I overheard a man talking. He said, people come for the glaciers, but are riveted by the valleys. He's right... the valleys are amazing. And with the shrinking glaciers, that may be all that's left in the not-too-distant future.
