SIERRA VISTA TRAIL, ORGAN MOUNTAIN REC AREA, BOONDOCKING on BLM, NM: GPS 32.32943, -106.59040

This is a relatively easy boondocking spot. The trail head is off Dripping Springs Road (exit 1). Once you get to the trail head (on your right, headed from University) you will see a roundabout entry for turning around, should you need to. There is a circle at the trail head itself, which is a bit down the road after several fire pit boondocking spots. This circle can be a turn around spot if need be. There is a road that continues past this turn around, but we didn't venture down there in our trailer.

There seems to be some boondocking spots in the turn around, though, so I recommend you leave your rig at the roundabout and walk down there to make sure you know what lies ahead. At least if you have a trailer or fifth wheel.

I would guess that there are 4-5 spots to boondock prior to where the trail starts and it gets a little gnarlier to navigate.

We had no trouble turning around in that circular area at the trail head when it was time for us to leave, but there had been a fifth wheel parked there so it may have been a problem if they'd still been there when we went to depart.

The views are lovely though with gorgeous sunsets. It was very quiet and peaceful.
