RED'S TWILIGHT ON THE ERIE CAMPGROUND, NEAR ROCHESTER, NY: GPS 43.0771° N, 77.3280° W
The people who own this park (have owned it for 4 years) are incredibly nice and very accommodating. They gave us a different campsite when we arrived and realized we would be unable to navigate into the originally assigned site, even though the other site was already reserved by other people. The husband (skilled at parking trailers) also drove our rig into the new site because we couldn't get in even that one by ourselves.
The negative was that the edges of the roads had somewhat washed away and the shoulders were soft, which is why we were having trouble navigating into the site. They said it was from the recent rains, and that they were working on repairing it immediately.
There was a swimming hole for our dog, which was nice. A bit mucky, but refreshing in the extreme heat.
The location was great. It felt very remote, but was 2 miles from a Walmart, and 5 miles from excellent Thai food (Saks Thai), and within 30 mins of Rochester.
Verizon and ATT were both okay, but not excellent.
