L L STUB STEWART, NEAR PORTLAND, OR: GPS 45.7391° N, 123.1996° W

We stayed at Stub Stewart several times and at four different sites within the campground; two sites at Dairy Creek West (top photo) and two at Dairy Creek East (bottom gallery). We needed a campground close to Portland, OR while we were working out some kinks with our trailer.

We loved the trails around the campground. There were something like 25 miles of trails: some steep, some flat, some paved, some rough, some for mountain bikes, some for walking. The trail system was really nice, and dogs were allowed on them.

There was also a fenced in dog park (last two photos) and a playground for kids. In addition, it sported an 18-hole disc golf course.

This location also allowed us to visit friends in Portland for dinner and other day trips.

The parking was relatively easy. We had one pull-through and three back ins, and even as new drivers we did just fine.
