LITTLE RISSERS CAMPGROUND AT RISSERS BEACH, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA: GPS 44.2312° N, 64.4275° W
We were here for my birthday and I couldn't have been anywhere more spectacular!
We were beachfront. It was a beautiful beach and you could hear the waves all night.
Apparently it is extremely hard to get a beachfront site, or a site in this campground at all. We lucked out getting it at the last minute. It had to be due to a cancellation. It's worth checking over and over to see if someone cancels.
There is a campground across the street that is affiliated with this one. It is called Risser's State Park. Little Rissers is on the beach though.
The dump was easy.
Probably the only downsides were that the drop toilets were not nice and the showers were not great. However, I would have rated this campground (and our site specifically) as a 6 or 7 out of 5. That's how awesome it was, despite the toilets and showers.
The campground was close to Halifax (about 1 hour+ away). It was 40 minutes from Lunenburg and Mahone Bay, and Chester -- all amazing places to visit.
On top of all of this marvelousness, we were able to stream with AT&T. VERIZON was ok but not great. T-Mobile was not good.
