GRAND BEACH CAMPGROUND - GRAND BEACH PROVINCIAL PARK, NEAR WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA: GPS 50.5605° N, 96.6235° W

I'm rating this higher than I might otherwise because it is so popular that most people must like it a bit more than me. The beaches and the campground are very crowded (granted we were there in July). The lake isn't as pretty as some we've seen.

There is ample space between the campsites to allow for privacy, which is nice. We had a challenging back-in, albeit not as challenging as some we've had to get into. We were in loop/bay 15 space 3 and the one prior to us (I assume it was space 1) was right under a transformer pole so there was a constant hum that we could easily hear from our campsite.

The bathrooms were fine. Nothing great, but flush toilets with running water in the sink. There are free showers, which I haven't yet seen, so I can't report on them, although from what I hear they are average -- not clean/not dirty, not large/not small. There's worse and there's better. There is also a laundry room, although it is very expensive: $3/load for each washer and dryer.

They have a couple of very easy dump stations with potable water.

We have cellular on both AT&T and Verizon, although not strong enough to stream. There is supposedly wifi in the park, but even at it's "hub" it is a very weak signal.
