LITTLE FORT BOONDOCKING, NEAR THE NORTH ENTRANCE OF SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK, VIRGINIA: GPS 38.867289, -78.444355

I didn't stay here. I found this on my scouting mission when we had to leave Shenandoah River Campground. I was looking for other options in the area, and ruled this one out.

Theoretically, it can accommodate a 30ish foot trailer, fifth wheel, or Class A/C. However, I found it to be a bit tight on the roads getting there and also within the "campground." There was a longish trailer parked there, so I know it can be done. The first site on the right is a pull-through and that's what we would have tried to get if we had camped here.

I didn't find it interesting enough to deal with the stress of getting there and into the spot, but if I was desperate for a place to camp, it would work, I suppose.

There is a turn-around at the end of the road, so you won't get stuck if you go there with your rig.

I don't remember seeing toilets, but I saw on freecampsites.net that there are supposedly some.

There was no cell reception on Verizon AT&T or T-Mobile.
