FAREWELL BEND STATE RECREATION AREA, OR: GPS 44.3067° N, 117.2250° W
This location had nice views and was a good stopping place for us. There was a river that our dog swam in, but beware of the burrs! She has a thick coat and was covered in really nasty, sticky burrs by the time we got back up to our site.
The weather was nice when we were there so we were able to put our "patio" down and soak in some sun, which was nice after being in the rain for a few weeks in Western Oregon.
We had one of the only (maybe the only) pull-through, which was important to us as new drivers of a trailer.
We stayed an extra day, but mostly because it was nice to pause for a bit and get ready for a long drive.
Had the weather not been as nice, or our needs have been different, we may have left after one night, but given our needs at the time, this was a great spot. It is certainly a great stopping place for a long trip from Oregon to Idaho, which is what we were using it for.
