ELLENSBURG KOA JOURNEY, WASHINGTON: GPS 47.0058° N, 120.5948° W
This KOA has really nice staff and they definitely went out of their way to accommodate us. They showed us to our site and spent a lot of time with us, making sure the site worked for us and that we were happy. The gentleman also took our empty propane tank and went and filled it and returned it to us.
When I checked in they told me they can't usually accommodate at rig our size (the website didn't indicate that so if you have a large rig, I'd recommend calling whatever RV park or campground you are considering to double check that you will fit comfortably). However, she said since it wasn't yet their busy season, we would likely not have problems navigating the roads that would otherwise have trucks and vehicles poking out into the road. They also gave us the largest and easiest spot to get in and out of. So often I ask RV parks to give us an easy spot and they either aren't familiar with their park or don't give a darn. This park actually seemed to care and be knowledgeable. It was refreshing.
The park was also right off the freeway (the 90), so it was a super convenient stop over for our travels.
