DORIS CREEK CAMPGROUND, NEAR GLACIER NATIONAL PARK (U.S.) IN MONTANA: GPS 48.3046° N, 113.9819° W
Bear in mind that we rate campgrounds as compared to other campgrounds and boondocking spots to boondocking spots. Based on that, this campground scores high because there aren't a lot of sites (10 maybe), there's ample space between the sites, the sites are pretty easy to park in (even the back ins), it's right on the reservoir for water fun, and it's close to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. Also the drop toilet was the cleanest we've ever seen, and the camp hosts that were there when we were there in June of 2017 (Cindy and her hubby) were wonderfully nice. So, many, many pluses.
Negatives are there are no dumpsters or trashcans ANYWHERE! Not in neighboring campgrounds, not in this campground, not at the dam... We had to go all the way into town and find one at a gas station (most of the gas stations didn't have them either).
We were parked in space 4 which is right next to the camp host. It's extremely wide and easy to get in, but all the sites looked really do-able.
Another plus is the cost... it's only $11/night!
None of our cell services worked even slightly. Not Verizon, not AT&T, not T-Mobile.
