CORAL PINK SAND DUNES STATE PARK, KANAB, UT: GPS 37.0378° N, 112.7203° W

We really enjoyed this campsite. The setting was beautiful and the campsite was large (#11). Site 11 is the largest and easiest pull-through of those in the campground. The pull-throughs are fairly sharp with boulders on both sides, so a bit tricky to get into. But if we did it, you can too!

There were public showers, nice bathrooms, an RV dump, available potable water (no hookups). The sand really is pink! There were bountiful deer and bunnies. PLUS, there was a feral black kitty that frequented our campground that was so sweet and affectionate that we couldn't believe it was feral. That was the bonus for our stay there. Omar (our cat) didn't like him though!

The one drawback was the drive getting there. From the main road it was about 13 miles into the park (on nice roads) but ones that you had to go slow on (especially in the evenings) because of all the deer. The speed limit varied between 40-50 mph, but at night it was impossible to go that fast. So, you felt quite isolated -- both good and bad.
