CHUTES PROVINCIAL PARK, ONTARIO, CANADA, campground review: GPS 46.2247° N, 82.0729° W
The sites were relatively large and easy. We had a corner site that was quite nice. It backed up to a large area with picnic tables (day use? we never figured that out), and the trail that went alongside the river.
The electrical is very poorly placed at some sites. Ours was through the woods and near someone else's site. We had our own extension cord and still had to rent an additional extension at $5 per day and $100 deposit.
There is a nice swimming spot for dogs off the fenced dog park area. They don't advertise it as such, but we were told she could swim there. The water is a brownish orange color, but isn't mucky. The color must be from minerals, not mud.
There are some nice hikes, and a pretty waterfall.
They had drop toilets.
The showers were on par with others at Provincial Parks.
While walking the trail, I noticed that site 94 is a really great pull-through site right up against the trail by the water so you could hear the waterfall really well.
We were able to use AT&T for streaming but VERIZON and T-Mobile were only so-so.
