CHAMPOEG HERITAGE PARK CAMPGROUND, NEAR PORTLAND, OREGON (SAID "SHAMPOOEY"): GPS 45.2483° N, 122.8942° W

Champoeg State Heritage Park (said Shampooey), is only 25 minutes south of Portland, Oregon, which is a great location to access the city.

It was laid out well, with ample room for big rigs. We were camped in the B loop (I think we were in B25), pull through area. I wouldn't say our site was "easy" but it wasn't terribly hard either.

Overall, though, the campground was pretty easy to maneuver in.

I loved the location. It was nice being so close to the city.

There was a nice big off leash dog area right near the campground, too.

There was only one true hike that we saw, and the ground was very sloppy when we were there from all the rain, so we didn't take on the hike.

Cell service (Verizon and ATT) was adequate, although not super strong.

I would camp here again.
