BOYD LAKE STATE PARK, LOVELAND, COLORADO, ABOUT 40 MINS FROM DENVER: GPS 40.7895, -103.2651

We had reservations to stay here and went to check out our site while we were camping nearby and found it to be exactly the kind of campground we hate. Extremely crowded, packed like sardines, small sites with no privacy, and bugs.

It had all of the bad qualities of a bad RV park (sandwiched in between others) and none of the good qualities (convenience, ease of parking, etc.)

The roads would be very hard to navigate in most rigs. The loops were tight. There were trees placed at inopportune spots. While the sites were all pull-throughs, they were short and so close together and at angles that would make parking something larger than 25 feet really challenging.

I forgot to take photos.

I went online to both google and apple maps to see if there were good satellite aerials. The aerials show how close the sites are together, but the images must have been taken off season because there is no one in any of the sites. But at least it will give you a feel for how packed it can get.

We canceled our reservation immediately after visiting!
