BLACKWELL ISLAND RV PARK, NEAR COEUR D'ALENE, ID: GPS 47.6807° N, 116.8028° W
I love how close this RV park is to downtown Coeur d'Alene. It's maybe, at most, 10 minutes out of town. And some of the sites have lovely views, although many sites don't.
The people who work here are very nice, but they selected a strange site for us. We are a 45' fifth wheel. We are parked in a 50' site, while there are sites that look like they are 120' long with no one in them. When I checked in they said that they were giving us one of the bigger sites, but this site is very small for us. There are other big rigs around us, parked in these smallish sites. That's just a bit confusing.
You can't reserve a specific site, but if they will let you request one, here are some tips: #65-68 are the longest. #50-54 have the best views and are larger sites. #113-122 are back ins that feel pretty private.
Throughout the park, there is fairly good space in between sites, even in our area.
There is a small fully-fenced dog park. Nothing special, but good for letting your furry kid romp a bit. There's also a short bike/walking patch along the side of the park, and near the river (Spokane River).
Verizon was strong, as was AT&T. Their cable offers a ton of TV stations, and you can also get about 20 stations on your antenna. Their wifi wasn't very good where we were parked.
