BIG ARM CAMPGROUND, FLATHEAD LAKE, MONTANA: GPS 47.805252 -114.31347

I can't get over the views at this campground. We were in one of the lake front sites (B012), and the view was utterly spectacular. Probably my all-time favorite campground view spot for an RV.

We had some trouble getting in our spot, but I think someone who knows what they are doing, probably wouldn't. It is a "back-in parallel" and don't think you'll be able to "pull-through" if you are in a trailer. A Class A, B, or C probably could, but not a trailer or fifth wheel. When we arrived a thunderstorm started which added to our stress level! There is also a gnarly tree positioned right at a curve passed the bathroom on the B Loop that nearly took out our driver's side.

Pluses though, included no (or very few) mosquitoes unlike where we had just been at Priest Lake, ID. Also, the view... did I mention the view? That almost makes it a 5 rating, even with it's shortcomings.

There are drop toilets that are fairly clean. There are paid showers.

Downside is the cost. We paid $28 for our spot, not being Montana residents, and we had no services! So, that's a lot of money for no services. UPDATE: I just found out you can buy a pass for $35/year that gives you the same campground prices as locals.

Our Verizon and AT&T worked great, even for streaming. And we have 9 TV channels -- the most we've ever had!
