THE BEACH CAMPING AREA, NORTH CONWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE: GPS 43.99945, -71.11143
This campground was a pleasant surprise. It only got 3 stars where I saw it reviewed online. We were using it as a stop over and a place to do laundry, etc. but I was happy we had two nights there.
There were nice big trees, but it was still pretty easy to navigate.
There were only a few pull-throughs. We had one of them and liked it. I believe it was site 51 (??).
The bathrooms were nice, but a bit of a walk from our site. The laundry was sufficient, though not cheap ($2 for wash and $2 for dry). There were paid showers that were small, not very nice, and it was challenging to keep my change of clothes and toiletry bag dry as there was no where to put it off the floor where it wouldn't get wet.
The owners were very nice and accommodating. It is very dog friendly, and they allow dogs down by the awesome huge river beach, even though their map says they have to be on leash. Perhaps it was because we were there during the shoulder season (October), but the beach was a big plus to us (and our dog).
It was close to the town of Conway.
